kembali ke listSemarang (05/06) - Efforts to overcome the current density of vehicles, parking and traffic on Ahmad Yani International Airport Semarang have been done by parking engineering. However, it is still not enough. Vehicles flow operating daily at the Ahmad Yani Airport continues to grow, especially before Idul Fitri 2016. 2-wheel and 4-wheel vehicles were visible at the parking area and traffic on Ahmad Yani International Airport Semarang.
The parking lot provided now is not adequate to accommodate the number of vehicles coming to the overnight parking, dropping, and even pick up passengers. Therefore, the management of PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) Ahmad Yani International Airport Semarang Branch Office presented a Valet Parking Service in the area of the Drop Zone. Valet Parking Service began to effectively operate on Monday, 4 July 2016.
Passengers who have difficulty getting a parking lot, can give the car keys to the Valet Parking attendant and pay a fee of Rp 40,000 to the Valet attendants. After that, the Valet attendants will provide tickets to passengers which can be re-exchanged when they want to pick up the car. Vehicle of Passenger will be parked on the field of Pusdik Penerbad Ahmad Yani and may accommodate up to 500 vehicles per day. This is one way that is applied to anticipate the difficulty to find parking lot for four-wheeled vehicles.
